Why Do Dogs Enjoy Chewing?
In all stages of your Little Buddy’s life, chewing is not only enjoyable but is known to be very beneficial for many reasons. Puppies chew to relieve pains associated with growing teeth very similar to how toddlers go through teething and are constantly turning to chewing anything and everything to find relief! Dogs of all ages chew to relieve frustration, anxiety even depression and loneliness. Chewing is also a great way to keep their jaws strong and their teeth clean!
Benefits of Elk Antlers
Elk antlers unlike traditional bones or rawhides, fresh elk antler contains bone marrow, which has a wealth of minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc and phosphorus. Also, elk antlers have the optimum density and more moisture for chewing, providing a long lasting chew that rarely if ever splinter while you Little Buddy is enjoying! Antlers are also highly highly sustainable as elk will shed their antlers and grow new ones annually, providing a humane source of all natural, nutrient rich antlers!

Pet Safety
Please as with any chew toy or bone, monitor your pet while using and keep them safely put away when not.
- Check for sharp edges or points that could cause damage to your dogs mouth
- Limit you pets time with the antler chew as aggressive chewers will naturally want to finish the antler in one sitting. This could cause an upset stomach and in turn an unwanted mess!
- Watch for gum bleeding from over chewing, as dogs when excited will play and chew until they are raw and even bleeding. If bleeding occurs, treat with caution and resume at a later time as this is most likely part of the teeth cleaning process(similar to flossing and having sensitive/bleeding gums).
- As with any bone or hard chew their is the risk of damaged teeth/mouth, choking, and even death!! Always monitor your little buddy and consult with your veterinarian if bones and chews are right for your Little Buddy!
